We only had one day to visit but it was very nice. Most attractions are within walking distance. The shops were nice and you have to go to Sloppy Joe's and have a Sloppy Joe sandwich. We are going back next year.
do not use this company to rent your bikes or mopeds if you travel to key west. the equipment is rusted and left us stranded twice. once with my young child. it took nearly an hour for a replacement to show up. the owners are rude and insulting. there are plenty of other places to get bikes in key west.
The person who described Key West as a third world country, needs to visit one first. Key West has an amazing ambience few places have. Special just to Key West. We LOVE Key West and all it has to offer. Including the chickens running wild and the bums. Great History, Great weather, great restaurants, wonderful Mallory Square, Old city, newer ...
I find it funny that someone would complain about the lack of malls and decent restaurants in Key West!! If you want to hang out in a MALL -- why waste your money going somewhere beautiful and unique? Stay home in in suburbia and have a generic and predictable meal at TGIFs.
Key West has seen a few more chains and franchises coming in - but if ...
For people that like the unspoiled, love fishing, drinking, etc., I suppose I get why they like it, but it just wasn't for me. The Key's are basically a third world country. No malls, decent restaurants, nothing. Just a bunch of shacks. The beaches aren't even that great. Some nice resorts(few and far between). I'm sure it has ...
We went fishing for mahi-mahi, with Capt Steve and the "FishCheck" and had a total blast. He knows where to find the fish and the price was great...$155.00 per person. we booked it through http://www.totallykeywest.com and because there were 4 of us, we got the whole boat for a better price! These guys know how to make a trip fun!
We arrived on the island on 4/4/09. I was so excited and couldn't wait to start looking around. There were four couples and three of us were on bikes. We parked in a parking lot that was almost one block from Duval St. and on Saturday and Sunday nights the backrest off the bikes were stolen. We caught on to there scheme and took the other ...
HAd a great time will go again next year. Stayed at Sheraton In across from smaters beach, dont stay there! but stay at some hotles right there at the beach it was awesome. Will be there fro Spring Break 2010
Loved Key West....the people, Duval St happy hour, the water (no beach, so don't plan on really swimming). Cool places for side trips like Ft. Jefferson (2.5 hour boat ride away). Want to go back ASAP and wish I could buy a house there! Side streets have the best "local" feeling and some of the finest places to eat (Michael's, ...
