Booorrrrring

I recently visited some relatives who live in Silicon Valley. The place is nothing but a suburban wasteland of asphalt, strip malls and big box stores. Sidewalks are devoid of pedestrian life. You have to drive to the corner store. What are considered "real cool" neighborhoods are essentially 2-3 blocks of businesses not located in a ...
VERY horrible experience here, I'd never go again. Later in the day of checking out, I realized I left my $350 digital camera on the bed (my fault). When contacting the Days Inn management, they explained how their housekeeper has worked for them for 12 years and they completely trust her - they claimed that she was the only person in the room ...

Compared to what?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/04/09
To the person who said downtown San Jose is a great place to live and visit, are you kidding me? You need to get out a little more and travel to some of the great cities this country has to offer. Go to Chicago, walk the Magnificent Mile, visit the Shedd Aquarium, the Field Museum, the Museum of Science and Industry, take a boat tour up the ...

Great mass transit system
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/18/08
I agree with the writer who says San Jose has a great mass transit system. In fact, one of the first things most visitors to San Jose notice is that so few people living here own cars. Why? Great place to go to college
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/24/08
I too moved here to go to college, bypassing such places as New York City, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Washington, DC to come to San Jose. And I must say, I agree with the other writer to not listen to the naysayers and form your own opinion. I know for a fact that people come from all over to visit San Jose. In fact, I was ...

This is a working city not so much a travel destination.
Nice place to live and work. But I don't think i would fly here from hundreds of miles away just to visit San Jose. I think if you give this city 5-10 years it will have much more to offer. Currently the city and private investors are investing a significant amount of money in the downtown area to make it a better place to live and visit.
