San Francisco. I went there for the Fourth of July last summer. We had gone many times before. It's so different from the rural area I live in, like a whole new world! Everyone acts crazy and you just want to study them. It's so peculiar! The lively bustle of the taxis holding up the streets and the old cable cars chugging along puts a grin ...
For those who say it's grimy and infested with homeless, it has its share (as do any major city) but not so much to be unsettling or detract from the city's many virtues. It's second only to NYC in the American cities I've visited. It has great parkland, great waterfront, an array excellent, diverse restaurants, great stores ( ...

We will never go back to this hotel.
By mad2theness, 01/23/09
I went with 4 of my friends a week and a half ago and about 4 days ago we all started to get small bug bites all over our arms and legs. Turns out we all contracted scabies, most likely from the bed sheets and towels because that is where it is easily transferred. We will never return to this hotel!

Thought SF is a second-rate city
By todd_95130, 01/09/09
I felt the city was dirty, felt unsafe, and generally had very little to do. The shopping was no better than anywhere else, and in fact, though it touts its unique neighborhoods, they seemed to me dying, sparse, and largely boring. There are homeless everywhere (not to mention mentally unstable people) on every bus, street - even inside stores in ...
I have been to SF several, several times and I absolutely love it. It is my favorite city ever. I guess most people don't go there all the time because of airfare and hotel and stuff like that, but I live in Sacramento so its about an hour-and-a-half drive. I hope to live there someday, or maybe I'd live in Berkley (if you didn't know, it's right near SF). It's amazing, I absolutly love it. Great city.

These guys are thiefs and cheats

I recently stayed at the Travelodge and booked my trip through Yahoo... I looked at my credit card statement some days later and had noticed I was charged an additional $159.28. After calling to see if I was double billed, I was notified that I was charged this amount due to one of our guests scribbling on the back of the front door. I calmly ...

No place in the U.S. like it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/30/08
There really is no city in the U.S. as charming and as scenic as San Francisco. From the skyline to the Golden Gate Bridge to Alcatraz Island, there just isn't anywhere like it. The fog over the bay, the cable cars, the sourdough bread, the Gridelli Chocolate Factory, Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf, Coit Tower, etc. I love it and just fall back in love with it everytime I visit. Can't wait to come again!
I enjoyed the hotel, the shopping was great and the sites were beautiful. The restaurants were very nice and welcoming. The people were ok, I stayed in a high tourist area so I didn't really see the locals.
lots and lots and lots of tours to decide from choose VERY carefully before going lots of great restaurants on fisherman's wharf if you are a fan of seafood the denny's and ihop by the wharf serve very filling breakfasts as well as johnny rockets (small yet filling and reasonable priced) gets very cold after 5-6pm bring a jacket or you ...
