SF resident responds to negative reviews.Dirty? Sure. Many streets see thousands of people per hour. You're going to eat off the streets or something? Pick up that newspaper or bottle and do something about it. Ask not what your, oh nevermind.

More to do next timeFisherman's WHarf is very touristy ranging from slightly trashy to very fun and interesting. Overall a good mix. Excellent place to begin your San Francisco vacation. Public transportation including those cable cars are great. Buy the three day $15 pass which includes unlimited bus, trolley and cable car transportation. Another City that NEVER Sleeps!!San Francisco is a beautiful city and has something for everyone. Great clubs for the cool and/or kinky. Shopping is a must. Cable cars for the tourists. Fisherman's wharf are for those who love fresh seafood. It's a wonderful place for vacay. Public transportation or a cab is better than driving around. Something for everyoneIt has so much to offer, starting with the incredible beauty and views. And we loved all the different people living side by side and happy to get along-- refreshing. Walking around was always an adventure! And the food has got to be the tastiest and healthiest on the planet.

Wonderful 5th...San Francisco is a beautiful, romantic city. I took my girlfriend there for our 5th year anniversary, and we had a phenomenal weekend! The Most Fascinating CityThe city transport system is the best I've ever seen. (You can get a map of the transit system online.) It's SO easy to get around without a car!
We stay at hotels in the Union Square district. If you check around you can find some great deals.
