My husband & I have stayed there a couple of times in the off- season. The first time we used the "Entertainment Card" for a $300/day room for $200. The room faced the poolside but all you saw was the roof and air ducts, we really should have complained. The second time I applied for the Wyndham member card and we stayed in a great room, ...

  • Palm Springs fun for couples
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 04/04/06
I have been going to Palm Springs since I was a little girl. As an adult, my husband and I normally golfed. We have stayed at many different hotels, but our favorite now is Terra Cotta Inn in Palm Springs. It is a clothing optional resort for nude sunbathing. We recently learned about it and have been there twice. I wrote a nice review about them ...

  • tram
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 03/31/06
The world's largest roatating tram ride starts from at an elevation of 2,643 feet to the 8,516 feet high up on Mt. St. Jacinto. It only takes 11 minutes! You can try some recreational activities like hiking and snowshoeing at the top. Even if you don't have time to do so, the ride itself is worth trying. Enjoy the view and the diversities of wilderness. You'd better go there early in the morning to avoid lining up.

  • Oasis Lost
    By mikeandjerryguest@sbcglobal.net, 03/10/06
What a difference 30 years makes to this oasis. Traffic at times reminded me of LA and you have to watch out for all the oldsters. Many of the out lying roads are horrible and freeway off ramps are very crowded. The various cities have failed to keep up the infrastructure. The food is great with many fabulous restaurants to include mama mias, ...

  • Great vacation
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 03/08/06
Had such a wonderful time in Palm Springs. Stayed at Parker, great atmosphere. They recommended Zin American Bistro for dinner the first night. Great atmosphere and service but the food is what stands out. Had the escargot and sweetbreads and then the scallops with a cauliflower mousse and a Kobe Sirloin steak that melted in your mouth.

  • Our home away from home!
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 02/26/06
We love everything about Palm Springs - weather, restaurants and places to visit. We always visit in April but managed 3 weeks in January this year. Great golf courses (although some of them are too expensive for our pocket)!

  • Check out the Desert Museum!
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 02/13/06
If you have small, large or in-between kids, this is a wonderful place to take them. Almost anyone would enjoy it! Lots of desert plants and animals with a very high visibility, it's quite relaxing. Be sure to take water, even in the colder months as it is dry.

  • Fun in the sun
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 01/22/06
What a beautiful place to unwind form the LA hype. The Parker was just wonderful, very professional staff and great bar at night. The Concierge sent us to some fantastic places for dinner including Mr Parker and Le Valleris but Zin American Bistro was a hands down favorite. Spent some time at the casino...and went up the tram. Can't wait to go back.

  • It's O.K.
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 01/11/06
Exery time you spill you'r drink they bring you more and you don't have to ware clothes so you save on packing. Also the locals are all hot looking and real easy. I fell in love with about 30 or 40 different guys, was too drunk to remember any names.
