I am back from LA. Man is it huge! Loved the Grove! Wasnt impressed with the Getty museum, too far from city to see anything. The garden was too small and not much there. Crystal Cathedral was interesting. Saw Robert Schuller's sermon. Proves yet once again religion is a big money maker for these people.
I was not prepared to give each character that took a picture w/ my kid a five dollar tip along sunset strip. I hadn't been off the plane more then 20 minutes and I spent 25 bucks. Yes good memories but you better pick your pics wisely. They also sell cd's and other junk. You get bombarded trying to get from point A to point B. Not stuffy ...

Do you know anything about Los Angeles. LA is a young city; in the mid-nineteenth century, it was a community of white American immigrants, poor Chinese laborers and wealthy Mexican ranchers, with a population of less than fifty thousand. Only on completion of the transcontinental railroad in the 1880s did it really begin to grow, as a national mecca for good health, clean living, plentiful sunshine and endless acres of citrus crops.
