  • Not Like New York
    By Mickey, 12/15/09
I was born and raised in Los Angeles. Lived here for more than 30 years. And I'm sick of hearing all the negative reviews from outsiders who know much too little about my city. Sure...we don't have as many of those so-called "beautiful" people as New York does, but at least, we're smart enough not to get caught in the ...

I lived there for three years. Trust me, Los Angeles is the ugliest city in the world.

  • Was that L.A. or little Mexico?
    By Gomar, 09/27/09
I am back from LA. Man is it huge!
Loved the Grove! Wasnt impressed with the Getty museum, too far from city to see anything. The garden was too small and not much there.
Crystal Cathedral was interesting. Saw Robert Schuller's sermon. Proves yet once again religion is a big money maker for these people.

Santa Monica beach, 3rd st. ...

  • Pretty...but not what I expected.
    By spell bound, 08/10/09
I was not prepared to give each character that took a picture w/ my kid a five dollar tip along sunset strip. I hadn't been off the plane more then 20 minutes and I spent 25 bucks. Yes good memories but you better pick your pics wisely. They also sell cd's and other junk. You get bombarded trying to get from point A to point B.
    Not stuffy ...

  • City of Champions
    By John, 07/09/09
There's no other city in America that has a vibrant culture than Los Angeles. With its gorgeous sunshine, palm trees, two of the best professional sports teams and an exciting young crowd, LA never fails to impress anyone. For anyone who hates LA...go back East and freeze your buns off!!! Sure, the city is currently suffering from poor ...

  • Never again to this gang infested place!
    By phyuP, 04/21/09
We heard and saw so much about Los Angeles in the media and we thought we were going to have a good time there. Actual experience was far from the reality. The place is so chaotic that only a third world country could be compared to it. Drivers are rude, people give you stares, gang members tout you every where you go. Roads are in dire need of repair and homeless are every where.

This is real L.A not what you see on TV.

  • Los Angeles
    By HOANG A, 10/31/08
Do you know anything about Los Angeles. LA is a young city; in the mid-nineteenth century, it was a community of white American immigrants, poor Chinese laborers and wealthy Mexican ranchers, with a population of less than fifty thousand. Only on completion of the transcontinental railroad in the 1880s did it really begin to grow, as a national mecca for good health, clean living, plentiful sunshine and endless acres of citrus crops.
