Great place to vacation. Take the kids to Slide rock and Catheral Rock for great swimming and sight seeing. The shopping is great too. Lots of cool shops and Resturants. You wont be dissapointed. Went in June and the weather was perfect

  • AWESOME!
    By connie m, 04/28/08
THE most beautiful drive I've ever had was on 89A. It was breathtaking! When I said I was going to Grand Canyon in Arizona, no wonder people would say "try to get to Sedona". The only downside was there was a lot of road work, which is understandable.

    HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommended.

I'll be back to Sedona - we just had a few days there as a family and it is truly superb. Thats if you like the outdoors , scenery , food , wine , beer , wildlife , and relaxing. Apparently theres also shopping , art , and spa's.

Sedona, AZ is absolutely beautiful... there are no words to describe, for one must actually visit and see all the gorgeous wonders Sedona has to offer. My husband and I are anxious to return and re-visit all the places, restaurants, and sites again. You could never capture all the beauty Sedona has within pictures... If ever a chance, see for yourself!

  • It's beautiful but....
Sedona is a beautiful place. Well, that is, the surrounding wilderness and red rock formations are amazing. If you like to hike or mountain bike, it's worth a visit. However, we were shocked at the very commercial aspect of this supposedly spiritual city. Talk about consumerism in high gear. All of the bobbles and tourist stuff one could ever ...

  • Enjoy Sedona, Not the Pizza!
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 03/12/07
We took a short family trip from Pheonix to Sedona for a nice hike into the beautiful countryside. We got our hike and the enjoyment of the scenery, but our happy moments were quickly deminished when we stop for pizza at Famous Pizza in the Bell Rock Plaza. The manager, YES THE MANAGER OWNER, was rude, crazy and disgraceful! He stood over our table ...

  • Geology wins, town too touristy
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 12/03/06
You cannot beat the natural beauty of Sedona, nor can it be adequately described. We have been going there for decades - it's only a two hour drive from Phoenix.

Unfortunately, too many other people have now found it, and a lot of them brought their big city attitudes with them. Downtown is crowded and fails in its imitation of Santa ...
