We stayed at the Moon Palace. Very beautiful, but so far away from everything. To take a cab there is $18 one way ( plus tip) Our room was way in the back by the beach. The room was absolutly beautiful, they did however beat on you for time share which got annoying.
If I were to go to Cancun again I would stay closer to the town area.

Safety is first. And it met our expectations. Food can't complain. Went to margaritaville for an American burger half way thru just for a change. The main objective of our trip, my man and I, was to meet friends from Wisconsin, and attend a few "family" functions.

Two of them, the veterans in visits to this area, have close ties with several residents and their families. So much so that they are "familia".

The other two, also from Wisconsin, after 40 years of marraige had never been on vacation together. She had never seen the ocean, a beach!

I loved th enight life I stayed at an all adult resort it was off the chain. You can have a good time without going broke. The people are nice but be careful cause you not a Mexicali so get too drunk and loose your passport; and oh yeah don't eat fresh foods!

I absolutely love Cancun. Don't get it confused with the madness you might have seen on "MTV's Spring Break". I made a point of NOT going during that time. I actually went for the week of the Memorial Day Holiday and it just so happened there is a big jazz festival going on that weekend.

Many reviews recommend Playa del Carmen as the European alternative to Cancun. We found Playa to be very touriste with almost all restaurants focused on a combination of seafood and Mexican themes. There were muchacho groups every where. After the first few times, it becomes tiresome and difficult to find other more intereting eating ...

Loved this place. Did not want to come back. It's the perfect beach paradise. Lots of sun, sand and alcohol :). Perfect combination for a wonderful vacation.

We stayed at the ElPublito Hotel. It does not look like the best, but believe me we had a great time. The Hotel Staff was very friendly and we got to know them as we were there for 8 days.

This was a wonderful trip. We will be going back in the near future
