I LOVED CABO. FUN SAFE FOR MY WHOLE FAMILY. STAYED AT PLAYA GRANDE. WALK TO TOWN AND HAS A PRIVATE BEACH. SAW A SEA TURTLE LAY HER EGGS RIGHT IN FRONT. THE NEW GRAND SOLMAR WILL BE SPECTACULAR. TOURED THE PROPERTY. EXCELLENT SERVICE AND HOSPITALITY. WILL BE BACK IN DECEMBER FOR THE WHALES.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE - DON'T GO THERE!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/21/09
They are tearing down the peaceful solmar and replacing it with a huge resort that will take up the wonderful beach. They are destroying a wonderful place. So much for the little piece of heaven I use to look forward to every year. Don't go unless you want to be in a construction zone. The continous noise and the rude staff made this vacation an awful experience. I don't think I will ever return to this resort.
THE AIR, YOUR ON TOP OF THE HILL OVER LOOKING THE OCEAN,, FOOD, POOL,SPA,CHAPEL, PEOPLE CLEANLINES, WHAT ELSE I WISH NEW YORKER CAN COME HERE AND SEE WHAT IVE SEEN.... I WAS SO RELAXED,, AND I DID CRY INSIDE BUT,,,, I SHALL RETURN....
I've been to Cabo, PV, Mazatlan and many other parts of Mexico until I discovered Thailand. One third the price with better beaches, better scenery, friendlier people and extraordinary food and a fascinating culture. I can rent a 24th floor condo for 600 per month high season right on the beach. Wake up America. There's more out there!
This was one of the best vacation spots that my family and I have ever been to. There was great service, people, food, EVERYTHING! I am going back very soon. Swimming in the Sea of Cortez and seeing the beautiful fish right there, just made everything worth it. Best vacation so far.
This is the best family activity in Cabo. See all the beautiful fish species in the comfort of an air conditioned Yellow Submarine. The tour guides are great and the memories are awesome. The boat is very spacious and comfortable. Highly recommended.
Cabo is a totally overrated dangerous tourist trap!!! The harassment starts at the airport and just gets worse in town. Darn near everything in the city is broken, dirty and way overpriced. At a mediocre restaurant I paid $18 for a glass of wine that costs $8 a bottle at Trader Joe's! Then there's the corrupt thieving cops, waiters and taxi ...
It was absolutely breath taking. I've got to go back. My Mother and I stated at the Fiesta Americana Hotel and the Service deserved 4 Stars. The staff was friendly and courteous and everyone had a smile on their face. We traveled in early March and the night time temperatures were a bit chilly. I would recommend going a little later, perhaps April. The waters off the Pacific made me feel like I was in Heaven.

Safety????????????

We recently stayed at the Sante Fe Riu in Cabo - the grounds, rooms food and facilities in general were exceptional - however in the area of security we would have to rate them extremely poor - we had an incident outside our room at 6:15 pm that required security to respond asap (intoxicated young man became abusive and agressive with his spouse ...
We stayed at the Hilton and loved it. Had a great room looking over the beach and could swim if we wanted. The prices are high in Cabo but you can get around it if you try. Our dinner at Mi Casa was $92 with tip and included two entrees and 2 margaritas each. We also had lunch one day at the pool side restaurant at the Hilton. Two margs and two ...
