We stayed at the Fairmont Empress, a must stay place for those wanting to experience the English side of life. The hotel was gorgeous, the people friendly, and the rooms immaculate. There are so many great places within walking distance including the government buildings. The ferry rides are fun too!
My sister & I just returned from a lovely visit on Vancouver Island - we had been once before but were able to explore more this time. Victoria is a gorgeous city with an abundance of things to do & see. We especially loved Beacon Hill Park and Dallas Road & Beach Dr. Victoria would be a fantastic place to live (if I could afford ...

I love it from the bottom of my heart

I have been this city for two years. Though I have been away from it for another two years, I miss it all the time. The Britain style architecture, beautiful scenery everywhere, slow movement of live, friendly people. I love it, and hope to go back every chance I can.

It was the 1st time we visit Canada. We stayed at a hotel in Vancouver. The next morning we took a ferry to Victoria. It was great. Victoria is a beautiful and peaceful city. I wish we had more time to stay there. There's a lot of things to do there. I can't wait to come back.

Victoria is a nice city for kids. From tea at the Empress hotel to the miniature world, Buchart gardens, horse buggies, shopping and the BC museum!
People are friendly and it definately has a little London feel with parliment right across from the ferry dock!
Recommend in the summer but even in the winter (bring a warm coat and an umbrella)
