I've been to Vancouver several times now, both for business and personal visits, and each time I become more enamored by this ocean city with a extremely diverse, cosmopolitan population. One thing I really like about Vancouver is its small-city big-city feeling. As I really appreciate the outdoors, I particularly enjoy Stanley Park and the ...
If you are looking for a hotel in Vancouver don't stay at the Pacific Palisades Hotel. It has bed bugs. The carpet and upholstery need to be ripped up and beds need to be replaced, but the hotel is in complete denial and are still using a lazy pest control company. It is time to get a second opinion.
Vancouver is a great city, but has had reports of bedbugs and Pacific Palisades Hotel has had reports. Choose to stay somewhere else.
Vancouver is probably one of the cleanest, most diverse cities in North America. It's the second largest city in the Pacific Northwest, smaller than Seattle but bigger than Portland. Unlike either of them, Vancouver is very urban and condensed in a small space, much like New York City. The city is built up, not out, with numerous condo ...
I was so disappointed by Vancouver... the place is beautiful, with all the (empty) condos and towers, but it lacks so ambiance! The shopping is okay, but Montreal is really catching up with the new flagships that are popping here and there...
Stanley Park was amazing, I have to admit, but the rest of the city is like a north american city... The ...
I live in Seattle and have been told throughout the years that Vancouver is an amazing place. After four visits, roughly one year apart, I still cannot see what the hype is about. Every time I go up, I go with a renewed sense of adventure and discovery, determined to find this "Uber cool Vancouver" I keep hearing about -- but to no ...
I have lived all over, and no other place on the continent can compare to Vancouver in over-all appeal. Complaining about not being able to understand traffic signals is about as foolish as it gets, and if you go complaining about such things, you're likely to make other-wise pleasant people frustrated with you very fast.
I went to Vancouver on a day trip and had a horrible time. I followed the street signs and got lost 4 times. The driving was horrible, the people are rude, and what is with the flashing green traffic lights? Granville Island was difficult to find, horrible parking, and SOOOO expensive. The market was nice except for all of the rude Canadians pushing me out of their way. I will not be returning.
My husband and I just returned from Vancouver. This was actually our 5th trip to Vancouver. This is my favorite place on earth and I have traveled a lot. It's very cosmopolitan - great restaurants, shopping, theatre, museums - and fantastic scenery. If you like the outdoors, there are fantastic mountains, beautiful parks, hiking, skiing all in ...
