After spending a couple of days among the thong of people in and around the Falls/Clifton Hills we were looking for something less hectic and found it along Queen Street. This Art & Entertainment District is about a mile or so north of Clifton Hills (easily accessible by bus/cab) but it seems like it's in another city.

I had been to Niagara Falls many times as a kid and went recently as an adult. I still love Niagara Falls and was able to appreciate it more now. If you like to walk, I recommend walking across the bridge to the NY side and walking around Goat Island where there are great views of both the American and Horseshoe Falls. You'll be amazed by the power and beauty of the falls.

Parking tip - DO NOT PARK in front of the Secret Garden on Fallsview Dr where you need to pay the candy shop. It's $20! There is plenty of affordable parking a little further down the street and closer to the main falls site. Doubletree Hotel is very nice and clean...would recommend, not right on the main drag, but not too far off. IMAX ...

Wonderful time, amazing hotel and the service is the very best. The view is excellent we were on the 18th floor in 1806 and it was so wonderful would go back in a heart beat

Istayed at the Fallsview Hotel it was ok. My room did have a view of the Horseshoe falls Room # 1808.
