Halifax is a small city that is just the right size for many city programs to work with. Halifax is the only city in North America with it's entire busline on Biodiesel, the ocean air is great mixed with the scent of freshly baked bread from Ben's factory here.
The overall vibe is very conducive for people that wish to relax, that ...
I fell in love with the simplicity of rural Cape Breton and the wonderfully friendly people.
I did not like the mosquitos and the black flies. I will go back prebug season next year.
My adventures included: planting flowers and shrubs, buying and finding the right place for things with a spirituality about them, driving through the scenic ...

Take it from someone who has lived there!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/07/06
I lived in Halifax for two years. As far as transportation around the city (and the province for that matter), it's there. There are bus stops like every block and a half in the city, and there are easily more than a dozen companies that provide transportation all over the province. The nightlife is probably the most unique that you'll find ...

halifax is a great city! with all it's history it is the place to be in eastren canada. again i think pesonally the coasts of canada are worth seeing so much more then central canada. halifax has somehting to offer everyone luxurios hotel with 5 star restaruants, clubs that u can party all night, boat tours and crazy sights to see everywhere. ...
It was great I am from the valley and my stay was wonderful seeing different things and trying different foods .I went to the dinner theatre and stayed at the weston .I then went to the casino. Then I did the night life went to cheers club it was a great time .
I found the prices in this city astounding. Even with the advantage of the American Dollar, this place is very expensive. Having just returned from Europe with a stopover to see Halifax, I found the city to be a depressed eyesore - but most North American cities are. One can eat more cheaply in New York City.
With so much to do and see in such a small land area-Halifax keeps the tourist occupied-and you can walk almost anywhere-to boot.

We went on our honeymoon!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/28/05

The Maritime Museum is a must see - they have a great exhibit on the Titanic (don't bother with the 3D movie) and the Halifax Explosion of 1917. The night life was awesome - lots of pubs with outdoor seating and some ...
