  • Beautiful city, so worth a visit.
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/21/07
Beautiful city, way up north. Winters are VERY cold, but if you like snow, Edmonton is heaven. Summers are about the best anywhere.
Amazing skyline. Some crime, but really not bad. Pretty average for a city of it's size. Seattle is actually a little more dangerous according to crime statistics. The river valley was wonderful. Mall was the ...

  • 2 visits, NEVER AGAIN
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/22/06
I came for 2 weeks August 2005 and thought it was a nice City, on reflection I see that the experience was pleasant because I was here to meet my new Grandson. I have been here for 2 months 2006. I count the days until I leave. Edmonton is the Bleakest City I have visited. The people are the rudest most ill mannered in the world.Socially there is ...

  • What a great find!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/21/06
Edmonton was a trip planned for business, and I didn't really know what to expect. Upon arrival from the US my team found a city with all sorts of events happening. We arrived during a festival called "Fringe" and were able to attend some of the events surronding it.

The people were great, we stayed down town and were amazed at how ...

  • We won't go back!
    By Amy, 09/03/06
We use to spend a lot of time in Edmonton around 10 yrs ago and had always found the place wonderful. This was our first trip back to the city in over 10 yrs ago and we won't be going back anytime soon.

We found the service at West Edmonton was terrible, the mall was full of rude people, our vehicle was broken into and our possessions were ...

  • best thing alberta.
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/17/06
Nothing to really complain about (airport was a little far from the city). An incredibly friendly and open minded, with a beautiful river valley, strong idenity, strong culturaly and arts wise. Pretty much the opposite which was the opposite to this american tourist.

  • Good...for a day.
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/01/06
Ugly city. Saw quite a bit of it and still didn't see anything resembling an upscale residential/shopping area. The whole city seemed very blue-collar (in contrast to Calgary). Mall is big, but not very nice, and wings of it are deserted. Must take taxis to get around; despite the small population, it is pretty spread-out. No historical sites ...

  • A Fun and Green City
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/11/06
What I like about Edmonton is the sheer amount of greenspace and parkland. It is a city with over a million people, one of Canada's larger cities, but it still tries to keep a clean and enjoyable atmosphere. The parks are wonderful and the River Valley is incredible. I definitly recommend a walk through the University of Alberta Campus, and the ...

  • Absolutely Fantastic
    By Justin, 04/15/06
From my experience, Edmonton outweighs all of the other west Canadian cities. The city is nicknamed "the city of champions", and its citizens do not deny it. The hockey is fantastic, and with the largest mall in North America (Mall of America is far smaller), it has a lot to offer other than the great people. I strongly recommend Edmonton, AB.

  • Edmonton is a Wonderful City
    By mark, 01/14/06
Edmonton has so much to do and see. We visited in late July and had a wonderful time. We wanted to stay longer but couldn't. We visited the West Edmonton Mall, which is one of the largest malls in the world. Inside the mall is a casino, full amusement park, full waterpark, putt putt golf, and restaurants and shops that seem to never end. ...

  • Oh Canada
    By david m, 01/04/06
I came up here for work and spent several days in this city. As far as the city goes, I really like it. We were able to walk most places and it offered many options for food, shopping, etc... However, Canada in general is such a funny place with all its little reminders not to use much water, be extra aware of how bad smoking is, as if the ...
