The city of education & cultureIt took us about 2 hours by coach from London to Oxford. My dream to visit the "city of dreaming spires" and the famous University of Oxford finally came true. Oxford Visitor CardGreat weekend spent in Oxford. The city is really fantastic especially the colleges and QI club. Anyway if you are going pop into the Visitor Centre and get a visitor card we used one in Cambridge and the london pass and they are well worth it. A fond, fond memoryWhat was not to like about Oxford? The colleges, the history, the pubs, etc. We were very lucky and had personal tour guides as well as invitations to cocktail parties and afternoon teas in a multitude of the colleges courtesy of being there for a medical symposium. Great Gothic CityI can't say enough great things about this charming gothic city. I lived in Oxford for 6 months and have very fond memories. Oldest university, worth a visitDefinately important to see this beautiful city, which holds the oldest university in the UK. College tours are quite interesting and informative. BreathtakingI had the privledge to live in oxford for 6 months... I worked at the Grapes pub on george st.
