It's always cold and the people are extremely ugly. Its a double negative. A clock tower does not make a place romantic. I find London on my bottom 100 places to go! Cities that are romanitc are Paris, Rome, Las Vegas (some places), Beirut, Rio de Janeiro, etc.

Stayed 6 nites at Thistle Westmeinster and has to be worst htel ever. Bad staff attitude (Manuela M is really poor), no a/c, no ice, no clean glasses daily, no clean sheets daily, no vacuuming.

Missed a key wake-up call, then left wake-up calls every day afterwards. Dropped a key message, I could go on.

Do yourself a favor, DON'T STAY THERE!

I have been to many different places around the world, and London has been by far THE WORST of all. The weather is awful, people are snobby and rude, and it is way too expensive.

Over priced with very poor weather. People are not the friendliest and lack any character, only interested in making as much money off tourists as possible. Some great sights but overall I would not recommend London. I certainly wont be going back in the near future.

I recommend going somewhere else for your first time. It was overcrowded, people are miserable, it was too expensive, you have to take the subway with your luggage since taxis are so expensive.

The worst service from any of the (supposed) 5 star hotels. This hotel has been modernised during it's take over by a large commercial venture. Unfortunatley, the service has been modernised and streamlined to the point of being non existant.

If you don't like cities or are expecting the quaint english towns you read about in books, then London isn't for you. London has become a very industrial city. The people were very rude and not helpful. And find out ahead of time what the cover charge is to get into a club before you wait 30 minutes in line. Most were 13-15 pounds which ...
