Just for your info folks, the posts dated 4/07/05, 2/06/07 and 12/06/07 are remarkably similar and vicious don't you think? This is probably because they have probably been written by the same individual, who has made it his lifes work to bad mouth the city, to the point of searching for forums like this one and writing on them spurious reviews ...

Opened our Eyes

We were sent there for work for several months so two days a week I went traveling with a girlfriend then we traveled on weekends.
What a country! And we didn't even get far north or south.
Glasgow has a lot to offer, especially if one loves Charles Rennie MacKintosh (I don't). But there is much to love including City Hall (make ...

Taste of Scotland

Wonderful experience, the people and atmosphere was electric. The west end of the city was magnificent and downtown was briming with elegant architecture and great shopping. The kids loved the science centre. Be back soon Glasgow!

Dirty, unsafe, unfriendly trashy city
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/16/07
I would give Glasgow 0 stars if I could. The place is horrible and the people extremely rude and unfriendly. The place is full of drunks and it felt very unsafe. If you must visit Scotland try Edinburgh.. better still head south to Cumbria (1 hour away) in northen England, Carlisle and the Lake District are breath taking .. a huge relief and ...

Absolutely awful

I would never recommend anyone at all to go and visit Glasgow. It's a terrible place people are extremely rude and the weather was terrible. If you must visit Scotland go and see Edinburgh or the Highlands instead.. Really stay well away from Glasglow, it's drabby, rundown and the people are far from being polite. The airport is the worst ...
Architecutre is breathtaking, public transport abundant, shopping amazing, way ahead in style, lots of historical places to visit, very cosmopolitan - lovely outside cafe's/bars - people literally go out of their way to help you. I asked for directions and the couple actually drove me there as it was "on their way" - they even ...
I just have to add to the tale of the Continenal lost luggage saga. Although we were ditressed over the fact we where now with out our suitcases; no agenda to where we where going or no real location to send the luggage after it arrived the next day. We had to delay our rental car a day. But Glasgow Airport was very accomodating in finding a place ...
the people know how to party. It is very, very cosmopolitan 6 times bigger than edinburgo ,like toledo and madrid. I would like to return in the summer as the city had so many parks and green areas which are not at the best covered in snow.
Stone work...stone.....work...stone work! Beutiful buildings. I could walk around and just look at them all day! The people are very kind. George Square is a must benches to sit and feed the birds and watch the people go by. For you shoppers well there is a little bit of everything. Although remember Scotland is still forced to use the pound...so ...

big city big heart

If all the worlds cities were as friendly as this the world would be a much nicer place. You get a feeling they are student orientated and the city is for a young crowd. It is fun and not stuffy. The west end has so much to offer but the city centre is great too. All the great art collections are free admission, the Burrell is un missable.
