Fascinating,dirty, atmospheric city. Stayed in tourist area...loved it. Within walking distances of old mosques and palaces. Took local buses all over city...cheap,clean and safe. Couldn't find much latte but of course turkish coffee is in another realm! Local markets all over...shopping is superb. This seems to be one of the few remaining authentic-feeling, non-cloned cities within spitting distance of Europe.

I can say lots of think about the city but however nothing could match my feeling about as A City of Dream.
Safe, historical, warm, friendly, authentic, and sophisticated.
Traffic is terrible almost everytime but who cares you'll got Bosphorous and Blue Mosque and Cistern and much more in a short distance to walk.
There are lots of clubs ...

Im was a soldier and lucky to be stationed in a town call corlu not to far from Istanbul every time there was an oportunity I went to the museums the bazar and the old roman walls.The place is great his history the people,everything is perfect for any person that enjoy looking for those tipe of activities .I really enjoy my 18 months tour of duty. ...
