There is plenty to see in Madrid. I was only there for 3 1/2 days but i had a blast. The buildings are beautiful. The entire city itself is life a work of art. plenty of museums and great dining spots. Overall a fun city that you'll need to set out plenty of time to see it all.

I loved Plaza Del Sol. EF Tours was great too. They got us into all sorts of places to really get the European experience in only 6 days.
There was food, castles, shopping, and flamenco dance lessons.

Quite simply one of the most exciting and dynamic cities in Europe(anywhere)! Like any city one should always research resturants and hotels prior to arrival,but this city has quite an impressive selection of both.
