just got back from a scand trip, love norway the most. i agree with how expensive everything is, but hey, so is Uk and many other european cities. oslo is more than just a cosmopolitan city, there are many outdoor activities one can do in winter or summer. however, people in the tourist information were friendly, but don't count on them to ...

Olso price SHOCK treatment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/16/09
If you need to loose weight or go through alcohol treatment, just go to Norway. You will be forced to loose weight and forget about drinking beer. I went right back to Denmark and Poland. Poland had the best food and service for the price. Norway is for Billionaires. The Mountains were nice.

Prices are an insult to a rich man
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/16/09
I loved to scenery, but the prices were an insult. I had enough money, but that is not the point. $11.00 for a baked potato is a complete insult. I had way more fun in America. I got 12 beers for the price of one in Norway. The portions were also small. In America I was eating like a pig, and everything was very cheap. I had to leave because I just felt so insulted by the prices. Its insane. Sweden and Denmark were better. Denmark was the best.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/05/09
I was just going on a business trip, but I was looing gorward to this in another way than other business-trips. This was mye first visit to Norway. I was exited to visit this rich and modern contry, and was expecting a clean, modern and impressive capital. But, i just met garabge, dirty streets, alcoholic-people and prostitutes. On the MAIN STREET. Well. I woulndt go there on a vacation

Coludn`t wait to get away
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/17/08
Ok. Ive been alot around, and I rarely "cant wait to get away", but in Oslo, I did. Lets start with the most positive things first. Oslo Aiport is nice, moderne, effetive and easy. The Airport Express Train Departs every 10 minutes and takes just 19min to Oslo Central Station. But what a hole. Oslo Central Station is dirty, and when ...

Never again...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/02/07
Oslo is probably the strangest and most expensive place I've ever visited. I'd been warned that Norwegians are very nationalistic but I wasn't prepared for how much that is so. It seemed like I couldn't get one thing right in my communication with Norwegians. I felt alienated, insulted for my un-Norwegian ways, robbed and cheated so I left ahead of time. I went to Copenhagen instead. Much nicer.

Astronomical Prices
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/21/07
I loved Olso and Norway in general, but I was broke in just a few days and had to return to England, living off of tap water. Sweden and Denmark were cool, but America had the best prices, cheapest booze and more pretty girls than I have ever seen.

Unbelievable Prices - but nice.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/21/07
The scenery was nice, the people very freindly, but the prices are so high you feel poor instanly. I had much more fun in America. You can dine out every night on an average wage and I even got one motel with bathroom and TV for $25.00 US.

Only For Millionaires.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/20/07
Oslo is for the rich. If you have to ask the price, you probably can't afford it.If you plan on staying a week, you should take at least $10.000 US. They know nothing about competition in pricing things. They seem to be very sheltered and even have a king. But if you have lots of money, you will do just fine.

The prices are a joke. Stay away from all stores and don't even think of eating out. You will be eating bread and water unless you leave very fast. They still have a king. Very out dated and stuffy. The scenery is nice, but not worth the price.
