naples is a world of its own...everything is amazing...you fall in love so easily becuz everything about naples is so enchanting...i def. suggest to meet as many people as you can...and go out and wander the city like your home..for that is how you must truly experience napoli. Besides the beautiful place, the atmosphere, the romance, the life in naples will take you back..like they say, "back in old napoli thats amore!"

I honestly do not know what that guy is talking about!! Naples is as safe as any US town!! I take he is stationed there, against his will, so he hates it. Again people, this shows the ignorance of some of us here in the States! Ignorance!! Naples is a beautiful city, and the people, service, friendliness are better than in many places here in the US! I wish I could live there!!

I went about 7 years ago, when I was in high school,and whenever I think about or hear something about Italy, I immediately think about Naples and how much I loved being there. My trip took me all over Italy-but little piece of my heart left in Naples...must go back someday and get it...lol Stayed in Monte Cassino (Montecassiano) a couple days-very sweet, very old style feel to it..Can't wait to go back.

Scenicwise, the Bay of Naples is my most favorite area in Italy. I enjoyed Pompeii. La Solfatara Volcanic Crater in Pozzouli is unique in that it is one of the few volcanic craters in the world you can walk on. I found the public transportation convenient.

What's not to like about this town? The people are wonderful, the food is magnificent, and there is lots to see. Check out the royal palace, the museum in Capodimonte, or stroll the beaches of Ischia. At night, drink at one of the cafes. The public transport system is very efficient. Not for the meek traveller, however. A wonderful town with a wonderful heart!

Worst drivers in the world (or perhaps the bst). Very dangerous feeling when walking outdoors. Nothing very appealing about Naples to be quite honest.

Naples teems with life, culture, activity and energy. The people are great, the food is amazing, and the city is rich in history.
It can be a bit more energetic than other Italian cities (I wouldn't recommend driving unless you've lived there for awhile), and it's definitely not for everyone, including some Italians. Overall, a great town.

I am an American living here in Naples. Although I have enjoyed northern Italy, it is true what they say - south of Rome there is no law. This place is total 3rd world.
