I don't know what people think about this city but for me, this old city has nothing impressed. I feel it is dirty and not really friendly (just a feeling). There is only one beautiful duomo that I think it is cool. So just pass by.

Can't wait to go back for shopping
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 12/22/07
I actually live in Milan right now. Coming from Istanbul it feels like there is too little to do in Milan, but it is a great place to go shopping and also for wining and dining if you know the right places to go to. The night life is not michelin stars if you ask me, places are too catastrophic most of the time. But, aperitivos are worth going to.

wouldnt go back
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 09/07/07
a very dirty city, too much graffiti.
the only good thing was seeing the beautiful building Duomo and the Da Vinci paintings. Apart from that, the only other thing to do is designer shopping.
Food and drink is expense, with the average cocktail at 11 euro and food with gourmet portions.
over rated city, with only the historical building and paintings worth visiting the city for with the city tour guide.

I love Milan at all. I cant say any bad word about it. Though its kind of dirty city, it lives. There are so many things to do - many historical monuments, I wont be wrong if I say that it is city of fashion - shopping is just great there. Also italian restaurants are great (recommend : Just caffee on Corso Sempione). Also nightlife is good there - ...

Milan is great for a day or two!
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 06/04/07
While many other parts of Italy are full of history and romance, Milan is primarily just another big world city - famous for fashion, the extremely large Duomo and of course, The Last Supper. It was a great one day experience - much more and I would have missed out on so much more of what Italy has to offer.

Best major city in Italy
By carolinefmort, 12/30/06
Milan is much better than Rome. It is much, much cleaner. The shopping is also much better, as well as the food. The people are friendly and everyone speaks English. One of our waiters tried to steal our money, however.
Definitely go take a walk near the Brera area and see the tiny shops and art galleries and such. It is so charming and ...

By Oyibo, 11/02/06
Well if you go further south you will be surprised how things could be much more convenient then Milano. I will reccomend you to go and visit Napoli, then to what you have experience in Milano, you could also enjoy the sea and the Amalfitan cost not to speak of Capri. Last but not least if you are a lover of pizza well Napoli is were it was created in the 19th century

By A Yahoo! Contributer, 09/12/06
We were in Milan last week and had the pleasure of dining at a new restaurant just a short walk from our hotel ( Una Hotel Cusani, which by the way was a lovely place with extremely helpful and solicitous staff) The Finisterra Restaurante Argentino had a wonderful atmosphere, delicious food and a very charming staff. The owners: Juan Salord and ...
