I cannot say enough about this island! The beaches are beautiful, the people are friendly, the roads are navigatable, the scenery is breathtaking, and the experience is priceless! I was heartbroken to leave. It is an absolutely amazing place, I hear it's the best of all the Greek Islands, and I must say, I AGREE!

Santorini is the most beautiful, romantic island!
We stayed at King Thira hotel which was a 5 minute walk to where all the action, restaurants and shopping is.
The hotel was extremely clean, nothing fancy and the owners were very hospitable and kind.
I consider Santorini to be more of a "couple island" and not a party island like ...

Take a scooter ride all around the island. You can't imagine how beautiful this island is until you see it in person. Absolutely stunning!

Pros:
- one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen
- gorgeous architecture
- incredible food and wine
- great shopping
- town of Oia - take the bus north to visit this cliffside town for a few hours
- tourist-friendly

Cons:
- very hot in September
- steep, uneven roads (not for the faint of heart)
- slightly easy to get lost
- confusing bus/public transit system
- didn't have enough time there!

It's the most spectacular island I have ever been too....its beauty is unrivalled and its one of those places that even more magnificent than its pictures

I just loved the ancient ruins, the different beaches, the houses, the people, the traveling by Mopeds... Ok.. What didn't I like? The Travellers' Stomach (nausea and upset stomach) and the Jet Lag, but otherwise I wouldn't hesitate to go back. I have been there 4 times and love it.
