Pros: Riechstag, brandenburg gate, tv tower, KaDeWe, Checkpoint Charlie
Cons: none
Out of all the places I been in Europe, Berlin is probally the best. 90% of the locals speak English as their second language. It is the cheapest city in Westren Europe. The Riechstag is great because it kind of the US Capitol except it has an observation ...

Great City, Awful People
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 02/03/07
Berlin as a city is pretty awesome. It has great museums and historical sites, cool shops, and great nightlife. But people...oh my God. So rude, and so unfriendly to foreigners. If they hear you talk in a language other than German, they give you these dirty looks, you immediately wish you never came there.

Berlin Rocks!
By spirit, 12/27/06
I lived in this city for almost 5 years and believe have discovered every tiny little bit of it. It's a mixed place where everyone finds something for their own interests. Not as many historical monuments perhaps as rome, but has it's own share of goodies. Full of different style and culture bars, cafes, theaters, museums (tonns of ...

I just got back form a week in Berlin and I loved it!! It's such a stylish city full of energy and life. The bars and clubs are amazing and the people were so friendly- even with my limited German. I definately want to go back again, all the must sees are fabulous- Checkpoint Charlie, the Wall, the Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate and all the ...

Berlin- nowaday 2006 2001 Reorganization of the city quarters: from 23 to 12. The J
I particularly enjoyed the checkpoint charley museum to get a feel for Berlin's more recent history and the Jewish museum--very compelling. The nightlife on the old east side was fun as well. I was there in the winter and the Christmas shopping was also a good experience, albeit a bit expensive--but as a major European city, it's to be ...

The heart of new Germany
By juscogens1970, 06/28/06
Berlin is indeed one of the last great capitals of the world. You are within an hour from the sea. A few hours from the primeval forests, and a short soujourn away from the majestic mountain ranges of europe. To delve so deeply into the history of the city is to come alive in the city of Berlin. Yes, the tragic past needs remembering, but there is also a sense of optimism in this grand city.

Exciting city in the world
By Reinhold K, 05/23/06
With over 100 museums, Berlin has weeks and weeks of culture to offer as well as so much German and European historical sites. It was one of the most exciting and culturally invogorating cities in Europe, much of it is in the form of green space and a giant subway system.
