CPH is very tourist friendly. Many things are within easy walking distance from center of town-easy to spend a day walking and not be bored or too tired. Climb the Roundtower on a clear day and you can see to Sweden and get an overview of other attractions. Walk along Ameliahavn and see several things for free-Little Mermaid, Ameliaborg square, dome church, Churchill park and Citadel. Good food and cold beer easy to find!

A place you can never forget, and never want to leave
I lived in Kobenhavn for 6 months as a student in 2001. I don't know what more you can ask for from a city: beautiful walking streets, very safe, gorgeous people, amazing nightlife (the most underrated in Europe, and I have been to every major city), incredible design and architecture, and a magical, inspirational feeling in the air. I must say ...

Excellent city, the people are really friendly and helpful. There are so many places to visit, such as the Rosenborg castle, the zoo, the Nyhavn and the Luis Tyssaud museum. Of course don't forget to go for a great walk at the wonderful pedestrian streets.
As a former long-term resident, I am slightly biased, but Copenhagen is indeed a a fantastic city.
If you have a choice, go in the summer (May to Sep). Winters are dark and cloudy with temperatures around the freezing point. Plus, Tivoli is closed, except for December where there is a "Christmas Tivoli" (which is also worth ...

You're better off in Stockholm
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/23/06
While there are many charming factors to such a city, it's best visited in the high seasons when tourism transforms the city into something a little more palletable (sp?). High prices (for the region) and lack or original character makes this city less than atractive when compared to it's scandinavian counterparts, Oslo and Stockholm. ...

Enjoyed it so much, have been back 11 times!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/31/06
I first travelled to Copenhagen in 1986 as part of a college basketball team tour through Scandinavia. We stayed with host families and really got to know the people, traditions, and places from a "local" perspective. As a result, we made lifelong friends. Danes are naturally curious, but at the same time they can be reserved. Take the ...

All these reviews nail it. This is one of the best cities in the world. Walking street is world finest. Food is second to none. Tivoli is the original Disneyland. The castles and museum are great. The people are kind, thoughtful and decent. It's not cheap but always worth every penny.
Cool city!! Baltic blows a cool and fresh wind into this attractive city and makes it even more stunning. You can visit many castles there or spend time wandering around the city with your family or friends. And don't forget the Little Mermaid and the small statue of Andersen in the centre of the city ;)

Fantastic, beautiful city filled with history, castles, and culture. Loveliest people on earth. Great nightlife, friendly and clean. Light all night! My favorite place on earth.

We loved Everything! The food, atmosphere, transportation, and people. Beautiful castles and kirkes. Can't wait to go back for the fourth time. Child friendly. Quite pricey for Americans.
