I love the tropical fruits...the city is a dirty city ...people are very unfriendly,
lot of prostitution,drugs etc.you got what you paid...food is not cheap if
you want to eat and a moderate restaurant you will paid almost the same that you pay in usa because as soon as you enter the restaurant prices go up...and taxes go to the sky ,they love ...

I did not like the city of San Jose (dirty, bad Roads) pleople were not very friendly and drive like maniacs. coming back from Jaco, me and my 2 friends took a lonely road, a Guy who we asked for directions, blocked the road ahead minutes later with two other guys in another car. in a very malicious way, we manage to scape but promised never to come back. this has been so far the scariest experience I have ever had while traveling.

We were in CR last week in El Roble Punta Arenas(Hilton).Everyday was rainning so get umbrelas.The hotel was ok, nothing special.We had a lot of fun in the rainforrest doing canopy horseback riding and whitewater rafting,Howewer in my opinion the excursions were expensive and the food was average.San Jose dirty and unsafe. I travel to Costa Rica a few times a year. My wife is also Costa Rican. When going to San Jose you are taking unnessary risks on your life. If you want to get out of the city and adventure around you will have a good time. But always keep you eyes open!
