Kuala Lumpur isa great place to go for food and shopping.
- Food - If you want fine dining, you can opt for the hotel restaurants that offer local buffets for less than US$30 per person at the hotels along Jalan Ampang and Bukit Bintang areas. The best time for buffet meals is during the Ramadhan month during which the hotel buffets offer plenty ...
Some of the best shopping malls that can be found in Kuala Lumpur (or in the whole world!):
1) Pavilion Kuala Lumpur - Located in Bukit Bintang area, this is the newest addition to the ever expanding gargantuan shopping malls in KL. The size of Pavilion has changed the landscape of Bukit Bintang altogether. The main anchor tenant in Pavilion is ...
This is slightly biased viewpoint but KL is reasonably priced with great food second only to Thailand for streetfare but we have much more variety in terms of other Asian, European etc. Taxidrivers can be a nightmare and public toilets are generally to be avoided unless you are a star on X factor. Hotels are the most reasonably priced in the world and generally Malaysians are warm towards visitors.

KUALA LUMPUR's popularly known, is the youngest Southeast Asian capital and the most economically successful after Singapore – and it's still growing: building sites abound and the city is awash with stunning examples of modern architecture, not least the famous Petronas Towers and the recently opened Museum of Islamic Arts
It actually well nested in the office towers of damansara heights, the restaurant is fronted by its bar and bistro. I love it that we can park anywhere in the evening or walk to the restaurant from our home.
It is breezy in the evening and its exactly lovely to dine al fresco or chill with a few friends over wine and the good mix of local and ...

What i thought of KL
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/03/08
KL was an okay place for a stop over, I wont be going back there again though. Batu Caves are great. But a warning to everyone, I was there at the end of 2007 and locals were trying anything to get me to come with them in a taxi. A regular story was that there sister was moving to melb and can I come meet her. Other backpackers at my hostel were getting the same story.
