I have been to Hiroshima many times and I can't really think of anything I don't like about this wonderful city. You definitely have to go to Peace Park and walk around. Walk through the museum. The castle is really neat. It is surrounded by Cherry Blossom trees so you should definitely visit during the Spring if you can. During the ...
Hiroshima is famous for the Atomic Bomb Dome, a part of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and the Itsukushima Shrine in Itsukushima These are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Itsukushima goes by the name of “Miyajima.” There is a popular belief that blinded by jealousy a goddess in the Itsukushima Shrine break up a loving couple when ...

One word, WOW! I couldn't believe it, I always wondered why alot of the older japanese nationals didn't like americans...well now I know why the museum was outstanding. It had so many memories of that fateful day, how they never asked to hav a bomb thrown on top of there city, there family, there children. It was just breath-taking. and in ...
Was stationed in Iwakuni, Japan for 13 months. Did as much traveling as the Marine Corps would let me do on my free time. Out on the countryside, the people are so friendly. Japan is the one place that I would love to go back and visit again.

A visit to the Peace bell near the town center is the highlight of the trip.
One must pass thru Osaka and take the bullet train to Hiroshima.
The food prices are astronomical! That that... what more with the hotels.
Lots of karaoke bars near the train station enjoy. Goo figure.
I was stationed in Iwakuni (right outside Miyajima on the way to Hiro) and Hiro is one of the most fun and enjoyable cities I've ever been to. The Japanese people are curteous and there are plenty of shopping centers and clubs to keep you busy. I would recommend El Barco's, an establishment I frequented on many a weekends. Their are two ...

I think A-bomb museum gives you enough reason to stop by and at least spend few hours there. If you have a time, take a light-rail or JR rapid train to visit Miyajima shrine. It is miracle that the building is still standing today.
