Of all the 5 times that I have visited Calcutta,I invariably end up comparing it with Bombay, Delhi and Chennai.
Travel, eateries, traffic and weather are much more convenient than Mumbai.
Public attitude and safety is much better than Delhi.
Its notches above Chennai in every aspect.
I am unfortunate that I could not find a job of my field in Calcutta, else I would have settled in Calcutta itself

gr8 ppl, gr8 foods, gr8 places. Whn compared to delhi, ppl are friendly & very helpful. i wish delhi cud take a leeson from calcutta.

this place is overvelmed with culture. while being a metropolitan city it has never lost its culture. there is a touch of hearts and love in everybody. every soul tries their best to help another soul to their full extend.this is the place u want to be.

Calcutta or Kolkata is the best city worth travelling in eastern India. The people are very friendly, helpful and cultured. You simply love the delicious Bengali dishes. The british structures and modern Indian bridges, stadiums will facinate any tourist. The theatre-auditoriums, art galleries and other cultural points are very rich and attractive to like-minded paople.

No matter where you from or what you expect out of this great city, one thing is for sure that its gonna bring a smile on your face once you meet the warm hearted Calcuttans. the people are simply great..... i asked this person where a certain place was and the person actually took me to the place and didn't even let me pay the cab fare.....

the victoria memorial was superb, so was the howrah bridge....and another thing i loved eating was something called puchka -

There were many places like the Victoria Memorial, Shahid minar and the Eden Gardens, marvelously made, showing the glory of British Empire at that time, and very well mentained.

Besides it the Great Temple of Kali, Birla Planeterium are also a must.

calcutta is the best city in india b'cose people r very good at behaviour
