Shanghai is a business city, there is not much to do if you go there as a tourist. Two temples, one garden a few parks and museums and a lot of high rise buildings. All the major tourist attractions are plague with very pushy street vendors. It’s hard just to take a picture without someone coming up to you asking for money. It’s sad ...

I can't wait to go back
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 07/27/07
I was in Shanghai for 4 days on March, everthing was great there except the weather was cold. Nightlife was fantastic in Shanghai, went to the bars and clubs 3 nights in a row around "Heng shan road". By far Shanghai has the most beautiful women in China or possibly in Asia. I am sure you will agree with me after you go. Although some ...

Nothing special

I first visit Shanghai in 2006 looking for some different business and living opportunities. I am American, and have extensively traveled throughout Asia and Europe, and am comfortable with cultural difference or living standards, and enjoy big city life. That said, my first trip to Shanghai lasted only 3 weeks, but I really enjoyed it. There was ...

Would love to come again
By rusher, 04/16/07
I loved my trip to Shanghai and would never forget it for the rest of my life. It was a 1 week business/holiday trip and it was unforgetable. I was there for the fashion exhibition at the Shanghai new international Expo Center, and then on to the island of Xiamen to buy some machines. I stayed at the Metropole Hotel which I highly reccomend as its ...

First of all, staying at the Grand Hyatt in Pudong is almost a reason in itself to go to Shanghai. Lobby is on the 53rd floor, the bar on the 88th floor - needless to say, the view from the rooms over the city is incredible. Shanghai is filled with awesome restaurants, great museums, good bars and lots of incredible architecture, old, new, Chinese ...

Pros exceeds the cons

PROS It's totally awesome! The food is just excellent. Nightlife is vibrant and frenzied. The architecture is magnificent. Shopping is crazy. Friendly people and service is great. Transportation is very convenient and a little fast; example: maglev train. The scenery is great.
CONS The pollution is wacked, like New York. The traffic ...

Don't go unless you have extra time
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 10/31/06
After reading lots of positive reviews about Mediterraneo, I decided to give it a try. The atmostphere is wonderful and the staff are very attentive and friendly. The price on the menu is quite reasonable but the food is truly disappointing. The steak (main course)tastes like a piece of cardboard while all other foods offer in the buffet is nothing ...

It's the cheapest F1 trip you can get!
By Old-2, 10/22/06
There's the Bund to walk around and you can pretend yourself in France. A great variety of shopping malls, reasonable restaurants to try all kinds of cuisine, the tallest building in the city and the marine which is pretty expensive. Afterall, beside tiger and panda, what else can you expect. BUT!! be very careful of your belongings anywhere ...

I LOVE IT!!!
By marisoltravelgroup, 10/09/06
