We've lived in the 1960 area for only three years now but this is by far the best restaurant we have found. As mentioned... once a regular you will be amazed at the warmth! Don't go expecting some cheap sushi-house. You will get awesome food for your money! I highly reccommend the Viper Roll! Mmmm... Okay... now I'm hungry.

We discovered Matsu after we moved to the area 4 years ago and we've been going back regularly ever since because of the service they provide to us as a family. The servers are always willing to modify the miso soup and bring out the kids' food first. They also remember to ask about my family whenever I go there by myself. The sushi is always excellent and fresh. It is attention to these details which keep us coming back!!

We have been to many Japanese restaraunts in Houston and Matsu is the best. The fish is always fresh and well prepared. Good sized portions. The chefs are friendly. We try to go at least once a week.
