First Time Recommended by friends Party of two with 2 appetizers, bottle of wine and 2 entrees Saturday Nite 7:00 PM when the bill arrived at the table mind you well over $100, there was a 15% service charge already added to bill. Party was of 2 people, not 6 or 10 or 15, only 2 people. Last Time - actually never again. Sorry guys, many other italian restaurants in Houston

My associate and I visited this restaurant yesterday for lunch. Upon arrival, we had to do valet parking for $3, which was not a big issue. Afterwards we were greeted by the hostess and guided to our seats. The waiter arrived and asked us what we would like to drink and we both decided on water since we were still working. Afterwards the waiter ...

over the last 25 yrs, my wife and i have patronized this restaraunt. The quality and service has gone from fine to poor. The ceiling fabrics are old and moldy in places, the piano is kinda beat up and the bill had to be corrected more than once under what became a tedious compromise. see it at lunch time to appeciate the yrs of wear and tear. tips ...

The draw of this restaurant is the ambiance. Very homey yet elegant at the same time (except for the ceiling drapes). The piano player makes for a wonderful dinner background although it can be quite loud. The food is average or below. Most dishes taste like they are made from frozen ingredients and really miss the mark. The dessert (esp the ...

Michelangelo's was very good. I don't usually like certain Italian foods but this place made everything taste exceptional. As far as the idiot that said this place had bad service and even worse food...well like I said he's an idiot! I can't wait to go back!!

This place has been around for at least 35 years... I would guess 50. The owner's son started his own upscale restaurant farther west. I love it. Located in old historic westheimer. Highly recommended.
My friend's family owns this restaurant, but i'm not being bias. I LOVE the food and atmosphere. I've had special occasions celebrated there and it was so worth the price. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to have a nice romantic meal out.
I've been going to Michelangelos for almost 15 years, I learned about it from a family member who had enjoyed it for almost 15 more I think. I've never been dissapointed with the food (it's not high end gourmet but it is good italian). For the price you can't touch it. No rushing to get you out the door and seat the next customer ...

Great Ambiance! Wonderful food and prices
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/09/06
Loved the resturant. Great ambiance. They had a Cello and Piano player the night I went. It is inside an old house, which adds to its charm. Food was great too, and reasonably priced, at about $15/entree. Plan on going again. Only complaint is parking, which is mostly on neighboring side streets. Overall a great romantic date restaurant!

Good

If you are look for a cozy spot this is the place. This place has a very romance scenery. With Candle lights settings, white table cloths and a piano player that plays beautiful music. You can make a request and they will play it. The food is great at a ok cost and the service is great.
