We live in Gainesville, we have tried this restaurant on three different ocassions. The first time the people were really rude and the place was full of locals cracking jokes about other people. The food was cold and my husband said his burger tasted like they had run it over with a road machine. The second time the food was worse. Our table ...

I decided to try some fried pies for breakfast one morning, I have heard about the place but never tried it. I went early in the morning before my wife woke up, so I took our daughter. The "locals" there were rude, some of them loudly cracking jokes about Mr. Mom towards me. The lady at the register wasn't very friendly either, and it ...

After waiting a while for a table to be cleared, we tried to order it and were told that they had run out. Mind you, lunch is served from 11-2. They didn't seem to care too much that they ran out. Whenever we're headed towards Gainesville, we look forward to stopping at the Fried Pie Restaurant. The waitresses are friendly, we love the atmosphere; and of course....the to-die-for fried pies. The only disappointment we have experienced is when we arrive too late and they are sold out! You gotta try them.
we were driving back to Michigan when we decided to find a place to eat, wow, is all I can say, I dream of their fried pies daily. We will return on July 2007 can't wait

Best fried pies ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/06
We have eaten at the Fried Pie several times. The food is always good, the service fast and the waitress's are always friendly. The fried pie's are to die for--after one your hooked.
After catching the billboard on Highway 82, I just knew I had to stop there for lunch. It was yummy. Grant it, the chicken fried steak that my mom had could have been more tender, but the chicken tenders I ordered were delicious. Don't get me started on the gravy. Both mom and I agreed it was the best we had ever had. Better than her ...
