This little Japanese restaurant in Richardson is my favorite restaurant in the Dallas area! I live nearby and lunch is my favorite because they have lunch specials - it is a lot more reasonable than at dinner-time. I always order the Chicken Bento - you get so much food for your money! It comes with a salad (with a homemade ginger dressing, very ...

This wonderful restaurant is the only sushi joint around Dallas that feels "neighborhoody"- -with plenty of regulars and a good mix of people: older, younger, in-between... the decor is inviting and comfortable. You can sit at the bar, a private room, or in a kind of bench, where you might share your table with others (but it really ...

I have only eaten at the sushi bar (not at table) but I love it! Love talking to the chefs, have had great service, and the sushi has tasted very fresh. My favorite place to eat sushi. I have not met the owners (they sound a little scary) but have had a great time every time I have been there.

Like food and chefs but...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/14/07
It is one of my favorite place to dine. I like their fresh sushi and the friendly chefs but the hostess/owner can ruin your night. She can be extremely rude to her customers sometimes. Very unfortunate.

No children allowed

Unless you have a child who is an honor graduate of an etiquette academy, Sushi Sake is not the place to go with kids. I have never been to a restaurant where the hostess/owner of the place yells at your 1-1/2 year old child for playing with its cheap pieces of cloth that hang behind you to serve as the back of your chair for fear it will get ...

The Best Japanese Resatraunt in Dallas Area!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/11/07
I was raised in Japan and I have been very disappointed in many of the Japanese restaurants in the area. Many of them was obviously owned and operated by someone who don't truly understand what Japanese Cuisine is. Sushi-Sake, however, I felt like I was back in Japan. Atmosphere, quality, menu items, etc. It is a very small place, so I ...

Sushi Sake is Good...not incredible
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/01/07
My wife and I ate at Sushi Sake for the first time last night. Very nice Asian 'Pottery Barn' decor(used to be a bad chinese restaurant in the 90s). Ate @ Sushi bar--many regular locals kept the nice chefs talking. All the older chefs were consuming massive amounts of hot sake--against Health Dept code, but that's okay! The fried ...

no more good
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/02/07
I used to go to this place for fresh sushi even though service was average or below average most of time. Ever since they moved to new location, there are more line-ups and seatings became horrible. The quality of service got extremely bad. The most important thing, the quality of sushi became average. I have no more reason to go to this place any more. This is the place with average sushi and below average service.

Favorite Sushi Restaurant

Excellent service and food! I have not found a sushi restaurant that is better. I have tried many places. This sushi is even better than all the places I have tried in California.
