Excellent bbq. Homemade sauce, potato salad and slaw, not store bought. Sauce is just right. Not so hot you can't taste the food. Meat smoked to perfection. Staff friendly and store was clean. We went during a not so busy time and owner himself visited with us. They also have homemade banana pudding that is very addictive-outstanding! I highly recommend them for quality-quantity-and price.

Crappy BBQ, Crappy service, dumpy place to eat with ants. Purity...is for the sweet/tangy tender, style of BBQ. McClard's is for those who like BBQ Hot and Spicy. JD's and Midway are also good BBQ's too. But Roland's is crap!

Recently, I tried their bar-b-que, and I've had better flavor from Kraft bar-b-que sauce off the shelf than this. Practically any place in town has a better flavor bar-b-que. I've had McClard's, Stubby's, Chuck's Southern B-B-Q, Sizzlin' In Style, Mickey's to name a few. They all be Roland's.

Best aroma great flavor

Roland's is very different from McClard's. Their meat is considerably better and their sides are great. The aroma in the restaurant is second to none. Don't forget the banana pudding!
I grew up in Hot Springs, and ate McClards as a child, but Roland's BBQ is much better than McClard's could ever hope to be. The variety of meats is awesome, the side dishes are fabulous, and the banana pudding for dessert is outstanding. You have to try this place to believe how good it truly is.

When we moved to Hot Springs, we asked about barbeque places. After trying many, we found Roland's and won't go anywhere else. The best barbeque in town!!!!
I have eaten at McLards and Rolands, so I can safely say that Rolands is THE BEST BBQ--price wise as well as taste. I like sweet cole slaw and sweet baked beans, and the smoked brisket melts in your mouth. A word of caution, the HOT BBQ sauce is HOT. Very clean place and friendly service. Food Network blew it when they went to McLard's to ...
