Although India's is NOT the only indian restaurant in Baton Rouge, it is one of our family's favorites. We love the buffet for lunch and they have some very reasonable offerings for dinner. We recently introduced a friend to Indian food at this restaurant and she loved it and has since went back several times on her own.
The staff is also very nice and helpful. The manager is also readily available to greet customers at their table.

I'm not gonna lie the food is pretty good, I have been going there for over a year now, usually get a luch buffet. However my opinion about them changed few days ago. Last time I got an order to go and I used my card to pay for it. I didn't leave any tips because it was a to go order. So when I checked my bank statement the other day I ...

This restaurant is awesome. The atmosphere is neat. Feels a bit mobish... but that's okay. The food is amazing. The waitstaff is very friendly. Whenever I first went here, I didn't know what any of the food was, so my friend and I ordered the dinner for two, and all of it was delicious. An excellent place for a new cultural experience instead of... well... the "Olive Garden" that the guy below me is fascinated with.

This is the only Indian restaurant for the area between Lake Charles and New Orleans. I found the reviews to be ravishingly positive. I felt to express my own opinion as an Indian, who visited the place several times. The good part is that the food is cheaper than any other Indian restaurant in the area including in New Orleans. The buffet costs ...
Baton Rouge has a glut of Mexiacan, Greek/Lebonese and Chinese, so finding something that is different can be a challenge. India's defanitlytley fits the bill. As mentioned, if your new to Indian food go for the buffet, that way you can try a variety of dishes and decide if you want to give a the regular menu a try. I prefer the menu, but it ...
This place has excellent food. Ok atmosphere. Service varies. Buffet during the day, great for figuring out what you like. Sparse crowd at night.

India's Restaurant
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/05/06
I have to watch my figure, so that usually means no seconds at lunch buffets. India's is the ONLY restaurant that I'll make an exception to my rule. The food is simply too delicious for one helping. Okay, so I couldn't tell you what's in "Aloo Mutter" - I don't really care. It looks good, smells wonderful and ...

It must be good if the Indians go there
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/02/06
Definitely not the only indian restaurant in town. There are other choices available but seems to be the Sunday brunch hot spot amongst the local Indian community. That's a good sign. Indians from India who've tried gave raving reviews so that got to be even better.

Best Restaurant in Baton Rouge
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/14/06
This lovely little Indian restaurant is the only one of its kind in Baton Rouge. It serves delicious Indian cuisine at a very reasonable price. There is a lunchtime buffet and you can go there at night for a great menued selection of your choosing. The place has a great ambience to it and the wait staff are very polite.
very good. love the lunch buffet. also dinner is fun if you come w/ a group and pass around multiple dishes for variety. try the onion strings w/ tamarind sauce. Also love the chicken or veggie korma. If you like here, also try Himalaya's Indian & Nepali restaurant on Sherwood South.
