All I can say is that we loved the fresh oysters on the half shell and the soft shelled crab po'boys. It was a great dining experience and we'd highly recommend it. This is the only restaurant we've visited (shown on Man vs. Food) that I would actually consider returning to.

Overall the food and service are good. A decent number of louisiana originals and some not-so louisiana originals. All pretty good. Prices are generally reasonable and portions regular size.

was on a tour when we passed by and saw a line outside and our tour guide told us that we had to try it because they had the best oysters in town. Husband and I waited in line, which we didn't mind doing for good oysters, but we were very dissapointed with them. Oysters tasted like water and poboys were also awful. Don't waste your money.

I can't imagine going to New Orleans and not eating at ACME. The food is awesome, especially the raw oysters and the chargrilled oysters. There is something on the menu for everyone. We live 7 hours away from New Orleans and have actually driven just to stay 1 night and eat at ACME. It's worth it.

fun place to eat. but food just so so. oyster were good an big and fresh but had lots of dirt and shell on them . i ate a second dozen just to see and came out the same. i alsop ordered the softshell crab fried. it was not so good had to peel of the thick breading which was egg flour and cornmeal. it was then fairly enjoyable to eat lol.should have been friede in strait cornmeal or flour not a thick batter .

A fantastic place to hang out & shoot the bull with the shuckers while sampling the subtle differences in oysters from all parts of the country. The Acme in the Quarter is one of the best at what they do. I make at least one visit there every trip to Nawlins.

I am from Chicago, and I cannot wait to get back to New Orleans for ACME! First time for my husband- he loved it!! We went twice in our 4 day visit. We are already planning our next visit back to ACME and to New Orleans. The hurricane may have destroyed houses, but the PEOPLE of NO make it the best place to visit. Thanks NO!! We will be back - back for the food, for the friends and the good times!

For the amount of money you pay for a seafood platter they should give you more then five shrimp and four oysters at the Metairie location. I called the manager over and asked him if I look like a tourist. If they do not up there portions they will lose alot of business. I would rather go to Quarter View on Clearview. They give you your moneys worth.
