I've been going to Kirin in one form or another since it first opened in a tiny little office-front about 8 years ago,and initially,I was amazed.

This is our favorite resturant in the Hammond, La area. We are from New Orleans-having been displaced by Katrina. The only thing that we do not like is the extremely loud 'music'.We feel that the music should be at least lowered, however, it would be more in keeping with Asian cusine to have Asian music playing softly in the background.
The food is very good, prices are good, and the service is wonderful.

I absolutely L-O-V-E Kirin!

I've been to most Sushi establishments in the Greater New Orleans area, and when I moved here I heard about Kirin...I was skeptical, but I went and I didn't regret it one bit! It's like a big sushi party house! The sky bar is great too!

The only downfall is that everytime I went they were shorthanded, but who cares when the food is so delicious!

My husband and I visited Kirin last night for the first time, having heard lots of good things about it. I found the floor lvl bar to be a bit messy, but the drinks were excellent.

The sushi was amazing. We sat at the sushi bar, the guys behind it were great, very nice, and we recieved our order very quickly. It was fresh and delicious. Basically, I feel like going back tonight :).

the bartender there, jeana spreads her customers personal business. she accepts tips, and then repeats everything she heard you say while you were drinking. that place is poorly managed, and unprofessional. they lack proper etiquette.
