The food wasn't great at all, and the staff was rude... which was odd since we were one of only 2 tables in the afternoon. There are plenty of better places within walking distance.

Very good but i agree with one of the other posters who mentioned that the waitstaff was rude! The girl we had practically ignored us and when she did grace us with her presence, acted like it was a chore! For what its worth, i've been to Slice a few times too and some of their servers are unfriendly as well...
I just ate at the Uptown LAPizza Kitchen and they were bizarrely rude. I asked basic questions, they acted pained to respond, and all were incredibly defensive.
I always go to the one in the F.Q. byt the market. When I have a craving for pizza one of their traditional or unique toppings always satisfies. Got to check it out!

Much better than the major chain pizza places

The pizza is wood fired gourmet pizza and very very good. If anyone has a better pizza, I would be surprised. The food is great and really inexpensive. Great crust and quality ingredients. It takes some time to get your food, but it is worth the wait.
Much better than the major chain pizza places.
