Was sight seeing one afternoon and decided to eat lunch there without reservation. Place was busy. Host was polite but made us feel unwelcome. No smile, and talked to use like he really could care less about us. The 2 girls greeting customers were very cordial and very welcoming. It was our first time to try to eat at this place, but don't look like we are going back to this place because of the way the host made us feel.

We can't say enough great things about Commander's Palace! We're from New Orleans and moved out of town several years ago. We loved it then and still love it today. I'm a little late in writing this but I went here for my birthday July 2007. Everything was wonderful from staff to the food. I got a signed menu as a gift. Definitely not a place for everyday eating but for a special occasion-it was totally worth the price.

All I can say is WOW!!! I work in the restaurant business in Texas, and have traveled the world, and this was the best experience I have ever had. From the Valets being kind and curteous and the beautiful Maitre'd to our server Hugo who had more knowledge of the menu than most Chefs in their own restaurants. Went there with a friend for the Jazz Brunch one Saturday and it was everything we could have wanted. The service was the best I've had and the food was amazing. Our waiters made us feel so very at home and the atmosphere was lively with the jazz band playing. A definite New Orleans experience not to be missed.
