The best Indian restaurant in Omaha for the value. They are moving a couple of spots down in the same plaza and I am in WITHDRAWAL until they open again! Waitstaff leaves a little to be desired.

I am new to this area and just love good authentic Indian food so I had to see what the area offered.

I did a search on the web on Inidian restaurants in the area and Taj sounded like a good choice.

Best Indian food in Omaha... love it. I have introduced several friends to the place they all love it also. The waitstaff could use a bit of work. There is one girl who is really good, but doesn't seem to be there as often. The other one should look for a career outside of waitressing- we have gotten it to go, just se we would have to deal with her!

I loved their food.The Chicken Tikka Masala was awesome.As good as their food is, their restaurant I would expect to be in a larger more spacious place.I have been there more than once and I would go again. I love this restaurant, the Chicken Tikka Masala is very tasty, and you can request your spice level, but this is a place that I suggest you get take-out, as they do not have very much seating. The best deal is to go here at lunch time when there best stuff is on sale for only $5.49 for an entree and $1.99 for an order of naan.

The Taj has great Indian Food at a great rate. One of the waitresses is shite, but oh well, it's cheap.

The food is wonderful, they make it as spicy or as mild as you like. I love the Chicken Masala and the Lamb Korma. The service on any day but Monday is awful. The waitress is rude and unkind and i can't believe they keep her, she must be married into the family as she is not Indian, but Caucasian. The Indian girl is very good but only there one or two days a week. BUT don't let this scare you off, the food is worth it, just don't tip!

It is a well-lit airy place but the food did not taste Indian at all... we felt almost neglected. On the other hand I can understand how much a lone waitress can handle. Good place to relax looking outside the window.

If you are in town and need a quick meal that will fill you up, this is the place to go. Really good food. Chicken madrasa is great. The almond raisin Naan is really good. We enjoy this place a lot.
