Warren Buffet must get a steak that is different from all others.
I ate there years ago and the prices are too high for what you get.
Then last week we ate there. First: I noticed all there prices were 5 to 7 dollars more than other places left in Omaha that serve better food.
Second, I asked the waitress who seems like Nurse Ratched, the ...

We arrived at the restaurant right at the time of our reservation and the hostess said it would be a short wait, well, we ended up waiting over 2 hours, and nobody from Gorat's apologized. (This was for the 2009 Berkshire Hathaway shareholders dinner). The food was mediocre (and reminded me of the cafeteria food I ate in high school) and is ...

Went there Sunday night (5/3/09) for the Berkshire event. All in all, I would not recommend it and would not go back. Pros: 1. They setup outside tent seating and an outside bar recognizing that they would have overflow crowds 2. Service was very efficient once we were seated
Cons: 1. Despite us having a 7:30pm reservation, they didn't ...

When dining out in an older city, a historic city, one must submerge oneself in the ambience and avoid carrying in the modern context. What made Gorat's such a special place for us was the authentic fifties/sixties, Italianite kitsch. Nothing disgusts me more than affected retro. I understand that the less than sterile atmosphere would bother ...

I dont know why the other reviews are so bad, must be discruntled past employees.. The atmosphere is neat, it is a taste of old Omaha...The front desk is a bit chaotic but the food is wonderful..I orderd a salad along with my meal and the ranch was out of this world .. I will most certainly go back time and time again..

wow. that was kitchen nightmares!! The place smelled of blue hairs, the steak was certainly not the best in the world and the atmosphere was terrible. I cant believe the triple A even had it in it's book. In California that place would be history long ago. How does it survive? I couldn't eat more then a few bites of my awful T-Bone stank .

I went to the restaurant at 7:11 and i had a reservation @7pm but they didn't serve me until 8:30. i don't understand that stupid reservation. there is no point of making reservation. The restaurant seems very unorganized and dirty. I can't believe that why Warren Buffett likes that place and disappointed at his taste. Foods weren't ...

This place ought to be closed for health reasons. One must go through all the kaos inside and out to get service and parking. Once seated there is little to be impressed of as the settings are thrown about instead of laid with care for the patrons. And the kitchen, YUCK! I've seen public restrooms that were cleaner. Save your money and go to Village Inn or Perkins and you'll live to appreciate it.

Once is enough !! Food was fair but the steak was nice. Seating was tight. Front desk was chaotic. The restaurant obviously has done well drawn by Warren Buffet's name. But was so cheap not even to invest some of its profit to fix up the front entrance and waiting area. It was a disgrace and not fair to the customers; many had came a long way. ...
