I have been to every sushi restaurant in town and though this place is very small and nothing fancy, there sushi is by far the best with the best prices. They also have a huge selection to choose from for half price sushi hours. If you like spicy rolls...try the Kaji Maki roll. It is to die for!

Unlike the other sushi places in town, it is far more casual while serving the same quality of sushi. The rest of the food I've had there has a very 'home cooking' quality to it. I give it 5 stars for different reason. If I'm not all dressed up and with a group of people, it is far more pleasant to go to Matsu Sushi. You can go ...

A great place downtown to get sushi rolls and sake! Definitely try the sake sampler and don't plan to drive for at least one or two hours after. Even though the sushi may take a little time to get out to you it is worth it. Service is friendly and the place is very clean.
Downtown Omaha really doesn't have much in the way of international cuisine but this place is a gem and friendly for singles, couples, and families alike.

i know sushi, im guessing the people that rated it badly don't know what REAL sushi tastes like. Matsu's is by far the best compared to Blue and Hiro's. Hiro's is over priced and horrible sushi. Matsu's is tiny, and the food is great!

I don't even know what anyones talking about here. For one Matsu sushi hasn't even been there a year. There is no nor has there ever been a waitress of any sort, much less one named grace, the owners daughter has just started waiting tables barely. Theres been 1 waiter period and he's cordial and good at it. Also the sushi chef's ...

The food was ok. The atmosphere was amusing. Take a look at the pictures on the wall that are in oversized frames and the poster is taped to the frame with old yellowing tape. It looks like they got the pics from a thrift store. The menus were falling apart. The service was fine. Very small. It was almost full at 7pm on a Thursday. I had a ...

I ate here on Friday evening. It was very busy, but the sushi chefs did a great job keeping up. The sushi was excellent!!! I'll definately be back.

I really like it here. I have to agree that the service can be a little bad at times, but the owner is really nice. To disagree with the korean man that visited a while back, I think it's silly to think that being a different race has anything to do with the quality of the sushi. ALSO I find it to be VERY rude to think that Chinese will use ...

I love this place. I love the location, the employees, and the food. I get sushi from matsu every day before work and I've never been let down. I havn't traveled the world in search for the perfect sushi but I have been here or there and this is a good place.

Lousy service for only slightly average food. I wasn't overly impressed by really anything here. Omaha isn't a sushi city by any means. Every place (Sakura, Blue, Hiro) are just average, and this follows in that tradition.
