Cozy place with outstanding food and wine selection. We enjoy taking friends and enjoying the evening. Can be pricey but well worth it. They are not trying to clear your table as soon as you finish your food. The Terrimazou (sp) is outstanding.

I'm from the St. Louis area and will make the drive with my husband just to eat at this resturant. Nothing compares to the authentic Italian food, w/ chef/owner being authintic Italian as well. I dare say it's better than anything on The Hill in StL. It's pricey, but that's what is to be expected with the type of atmosphere. You get above and beyond what you pay for. I have dined at Gilardi on a variety of occasions & have never been disappointed. Not only is the atmosphere intimate but the food is spectacular. I would'nt reccomend it for a family outing, but for couples and business, it is perfect.

I love this place, just because you go in this comfortable little building and are greeted not only by the friendly staff but Mr Gilardi himself. He is a fun person to be around and definately good for a couple of laughs. The food is awesome! I think it should be a crime if you live in Springfield and havent checked this place out.
