My inlaws live in Alton, MO which is just a curvy road away from Thayer. We try to visit as often as we can from OH. I always thought that the restaurant looked interesting and since I first saw it I've wanted to try it. The location, overlooking the water, and the log-cabin like structure itself, is beautiful!

My family first heard about this restaurant through some online friends who do quite a bit of travelling. They regularly raved about the food, atmosphere, and friendly service, so we just had to see for ourselves. Everything our friends told us is true!
