we have been going to Lidia's for many years. It has really progressively gone down hill. I always get the pasta sampler and the last few times the pasta is dry with hardly any sauce. It was a special place for us but we are thinking that we might not go back. Really sad for us because a few years ago, they were great

I agree with some of the other reviews. It was mediocre, not astounding, and for that price it should have been knocking me out of my seat!!!
Food was too salty and not that flavorful. I got the salmon and the only good thing about it was the potatoes it was served with. Just not that interesting. Also there were not that many vegetarian options. I was expecting a lot because I like Lidia's show. Didn't live up to my expectations!

They had neat lights that looked like balloons, but were dusty. The food was stanky and I could harldy swollow mine down. I was hungry too cuz I hadn't ate all day. Our wait-lady was pretty and seemed to be in a happy mood, but the food she brought us was just nasty and we ordered what seemed like it would be the best thing on the menu. I don't recommend this place unless you like gross food.

This was by far the BEST Italian I've ever had and I've been everywhere in the United States. I had the pasta sampler with the cookie desert. My dining companions say that the insalate caprese and the garlic mashed were to die for as well. And you cannot beat the wine list. Wait staff was very attentive and helpful. Can't wait to visit her other locations. I bought one of her cookbooks and have been delighting my family ever since.

I have very mixed feelings about this restaurant.

On one end the service was great and the decor lovely. We made reservations and got a wonderful table. The salad we ordered (to share) was phenomenal as was the dessert.

As a visitor to KC I have been visiting lots of bbq restaurants so this was a very nice change of pace.

Despite the fact that it isn't want KC is famous for this very well could be the best meal that i have had from start to finish. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. Some of the best Italian food I have ever had. I highly recommend the featured item which is a sampling of pastas that changes daily.
