If ever you were looking for a quiet and peaceful vacation, take time to check out Bend in the Road. It has a warm, quaint, and cozy feeling not duplicated in most B&Bs. I was greeted by the warmest hostess who showered with the greatest attention and left me when I needed my space.
I awoke the next morning to the nicest music and the smell ...

Yet another take on this charming place.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/13/09
We booked this at the last minute, thinking we would have to bring our dog along. As it turned out, we went without her, but as advertised this charming B&B is certainly dog friendly (the owner has 5, all well-behaved and friendly) with an enormous fenced area .
The pool is quite large, and has steps instead of a ladder. The grounds are ...

Great Find with a Wonderful Hostess
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/13/09
Bend In The Road is a charming, lovely place with a huge secret garden, a terrific pool with dog-friendly steps, and owners who really take care of their guests. There were homemade popovers better than anything we've ever had, and the owners' dogs were adorable company both for us and for our dogs. I've read the previous reviews and ...

Bend in the Road

I've stayed at a number of B&Bs and so know that they're all different. However, there are certain things that should be the same at each of them and that is the hospitality of the host. If you want a place that is relaxed, allows you to keep to yourself or intereact with the owners, a place that has a beautiful pool AND you can bring ...

don't want to leave!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/13/09
We're in the middle of a long stay at Bend in The Road Guest House where we're having the best time ever on vacation with our dogs. The owner, though a recent widow, has been as warm and friendly as anyone could wish, and is one of the finest bakers we've ever encountered, and I should know, being a baker myself. The garden here ...

A beautiful weekend getaway
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/21/09
We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend at the Bend in the Road Guest House. The room is exquisitely decorated, with a comfortable king sized bed and a complimentary bottle of wine when you arrive! The owners are very sweet, happy to socialize or let us keep to ourselves. We brought our dog, who had a wonderful time running around the huge grounds, ...

Did not meet our expectations
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/01/09
The website of this place is so charming that we thought this is quite a paradise. Indeed, the grounds are perfect for dogs and overall the place looks very pretty (though our bedroom was a bit dark and in the bath there were lights missing). Unfortunately, two of the 5 dogs of the owner growled and snapped at our very friendly little Cavalier King ...

We have stayed here twice, once in 2005, and just this weekend (4/14/07-4/15/07). What a difference a couple of years make. Last time we went we were made to feel totally at home, with fresh-baked scones and delicious coffee in the morning, and fun (not overbearing) conversation with the owners. This time the owners couldn't wait to get us out ...
