Hobart now offers the quiet atmosphere with that small town feel and now has been upgraded to serve excellent coffee as now Starbucks has opened in Collins Street. Before coffee was below average and the service was shocking. So come to Hobart to get great coffee with that relaxed atmosphere.

Stayed in a Bed & Breakfast at the foothills of Mt Wellington just barely 15 mins from Hobart. Dinner at the Drunken Admimiral was fantastic. The panoramic sweeping view from the top of Mt Wellington is highly recommended. Unfortunately it rained while we were there but the cloud and mist added to a different touch to the view.

On a recent trip to Hobart I booked a Hotel room in the Hotel chain Zero Davey Hobart over the net for two nights.
I found the rooms to be vastley different to the pics on the net.Cold,bland,noisy and un- welcoming. To top it off we were positioned with our window at eye level to the busy road and when I asked to be moved I was given the room ...

I love tassie as it is quiet and it maskes you feel like you are in europe... a great place for retirement and relaxation... cradle mountain, fruit farms, richmond are great place to go to...its is really beautiful unlike other states in australia which is tourist oriented...

One of the best places I have ever been. Very cultural ! The people are very nice and polite to all visitors.

Hobart has big town attractions but still maintains a wonderful small town feel. The restaurants are awesome!! Salamanca Place, Battery Point, Botanical Gardens and the City - all are wonderful and basically within walking distance of each other. Small Art Galleries abound and the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery is well worth the visit.
