Sadly not enough people take time out for this amazing city due to its bad (and now undeserved reputation).
Outside of London this is the most vibrant, fun city I've been to in the U.K. There is so much to see and do and it's got the advantage over London that its all in a relatively small area with great public transportation.

I really loved the city. Loads of things to do. The science and industry museum was really cool. You could also go down to Wales for hiking. Ultimately, you can't miss Man U and Old Trafford. The phantomines are cool too.
