Severe disappointment. Went here for a wedding reception. I ordered the Filet medium and got it raw. The people around me ordered it medium well and got it with no pink. Staff was attentive and the sides were good but, be careful you may not get your meat the way you like.OVERALL

We were in Chicago visiting recently and had a meal at Smith & Wollensky with several family members. While the servers were attentive, the food was horrible. I had the fillet Oscar which was served too cool with very fishy tasting lump crab meat. The creamed spinach was mediocre at best. Desserts were typical, nothing special. Smith & Wollensky - Classic Fine DiningWe had occasion to go back to downtown Chicago last weekend, our old stomping grounds, and decided on S&W for dinner. It's located next to the House of Blues below the Marina Towers overlooking the Chicago River.

Big City Night Out On The Town!We happened to be in Chicago during the biggest convention of the year. Needless to say, finding reservations for 6 was nearly impossible. Without a hitch, I was able at the last minute make reservations for 7:00! Service was wonderful and atrmosphere was welcoming to a piano player. There are better steakhouses in ChicagoThree of us dropped in without reservation on a Sunday night. Even though I could see empty tables on the patio, we were told it would be a 45 minute wait and encouraged to go down to the 'grill'. big steaks big cakesI split the 108oz porterhouse with a friend, 54oz each. Was very tasty but it'll set you back a few bucks and I wouldn't say it was anything exceptional.
